What is a Craftsman Light Fixture?

Craftsman Lighting: Light Fixture or lamp with simple and clean design, commonly seen in homes from 1905 to 1940. Often characterized by the use of high quality raw materials such as stain glass, metal and wood. Artisans of the time would individually handcraft these works of art.

Applications:

Our Beautiful Craftsman Chandeliers #451-459: These chandeliers are often used in great rooms as the main central light fixture, in hallways as a beautiful entryway fixture and as a light over an exquisite round table. Some of the larger applications will use several to illuminate an elegant clubhouse, restaurant or ballroom type setting.

The Pendant Fixtures #502-508: These fixtures work well over an elongated dining room table or a large kitchen island. The three hanging pendants create a nice, even full light with plenty of wattage. With your choice of wood, glass colors and hanging heights this fixture can accent and fit your interior design with perfect style.

Energy Efficient LED Flush Ceiling Light #510, 555, 561, 961: This is our very first LED light. This LED light offers savings of approximately 80% and a bulb life of about 50,000 hours when compared to a traditional bulb (at 2,000 hours). This light is also regularly used in great rooms with two or three fixtures to fill one large ceiling. Dining rooms are also another popular choice. Like all of our fixtures, customers can select glass colors to complement their home design and with this particular light, you can use your own custom glass patterns as well.

Where we see these Fixtures:

Historic Revival Homes: Once very popular in 1910-1940’s, Arts & Crafts and Bungalow style homes, accompanied by classic architecture, hardwood interior and stained-glass appointments were a perfect match for our light fixtures. We offer customized glass and wood colors to seamlessly blend our pieces into your décor.

New Homes: People have fallen in love with the classic lines and simple styling of the Arts & Crafts movement (1910-1940) and as a result, many new homes have been built in this gorgeous style. Our light fixtures are a great complement to these types of interiors and create a traditional American design throughout your homes interior.

Bulbs:

All of our fixtures use a standard, everyday household light socket also known as a medium base socket. You are able to use regular incandescent, fluorescent or LED bulbs in our fixtures. The maximum watts are posted on each separate product page. If you are using an LED bulb, customers tend to prefer the “soft white” when compared to the “daylight” bulbs. The daylight bulb has a very slight blue hue when illuminated.
