Two handcrafted Craftsman shades, one fixture built for the kitchen. The Craftsman Dual Kitchen Light #501-2 is designed for islands and dining tables where a single pendant leaves too much in the dark. Handmade from Oak or Cherry wood with a hand-rubbed stain, and fitted with artisan hand-rolled glass in your choice of color, it delivers even, warm light across your workspace with the kind of craftsmanship that holds up for decades. Shown in Mission Brown stain on Oak with Caramel glass.

Recommended Hanging Heights

• Over a Table or Island: 5′ 11″ to 6′ 7″ from the floor. Consider headroom clearance when working at the surface, and whether the fixture will obstruct sightlines to windows or wall features.
• In an Open Space: 6′ 6″ to 7′ 6″ from the floor (or higher depending on the application)
• How to Measure: Hanging height is measured from the ceiling to the bottom of the glass. Hold a tape measure or yardstick to the ceiling to find your ideal drop length before ordering.

Craftsmanship

• Glass: Available in Caramel Cream — a warm amber glow when lit — or Whispering White, which is approximately 20% brighter with subtle amber streaks (not pure white). For everyday use as a primary light source, Whispering White is the more popular choice.
• Wood Frame: Hand-picked, cut, sanded, and joined by our artisans using Oak, finished in Dark Cherry, Mission Brown, or Golden Oak stain, or in Cherry Wood with a natural clear finish. Custom stain colors available for an additional cost.

Q: How long should my kitchen island be for this fixture to work well?
A: The #501-2 is ideal for islands roughly 36″–54″ long. Its 34″ ceiling board and two shades provide balanced coverage across that range. For longer islands (55″ or more), our three-light or large island fixtures will give you better coverage. Contact us with your island dimensions if you’re unsure which size is right.

Q: Can I get a different hanging length to fit my ceiling height?
A: Yes — this fixture is available in many different lengths to fit your space. When ordering, let us know your ceiling height and preferred hanging height (measured from ceiling to bottom of glass) and we’ll configure it accordingly.
